Stitched Panoramas
Creating Wide Panoramas with a digital camera is not difficult, just follow a few rules to get those wide vistas.
1. Move the white balance from “auto”
2. Use manual exposure, pick an average value for your subject.
3. Turn your camera so the long side of the image is vertical.
4. Rotate your camera about a vertical axis, using a tripod, mono-pod, or a steady hand.
5. Over-lap the images a bit, 5% to 10%, more is not better. I pick a feature at the edge of the image and frame so that feature is in both images.
6. Stitch with your favorite Photo-editing software. I have found Photoshop CS3 does an amazing job. If you have trouble with your software you can rent our copy of CS3.
I have samples in the store of pano’s I have done.
